THE TEAM

Founded in 1902, Fluminense Football Club was the first Brazilian club to carry football in its name. A pioneer in sports, Fluminense FC influenced the formation of the Brazilian National Team, hosting in its stadium the first match ever of the Seleção. Honoured by the IOC with the Olympic Cup as the most complete sports institution in 1949, Fluminense FC continues developing talented athletes and delighting its more than 5 million fans worldwide.
